In an ideal world, you should take the photo and immediately delete it off of your device. Messages are one of the most private channels of information sharing and it’s important your conversations stay between you and the person, or people, you’re texting. If the app is not encrypted, it’s usually for a reason.
Using a VPN, or a virtual private network, will ensure your online activity is private and anonymous. Make sure you do your due diligence when searching for a trusted VPN as well!
