How Safe is Keeping Porn on your Phone?

Keeping porn on your phone may be risky for many reasons. Ultimately, it’s up to you to make a judgement call but we want to touch on a few key points in this article.

First and foremost, keeping or watching porn on your phone typically isn’t the safest online activity. According to Wandera, “Smartphone operating systems, especially Android, are not as secure as desktops, there are many vulnerabilities that can be easily exploited by hackers.”

Wandera also conducted another study where it was found that a whopping 80% of the most visited adult sites were vulnerable to malware. This is extremely important information to be aware of, because odds are, that number is on the rise. It’s also important to know if you do visit adult sites. If you do, you should highly consider downloading a VPN and a malware protector for your Android device.

Digital security threats to your device and personal content & data is not something to take lightly. Identity theft, bank fraud, information leakage, etc. are potentially life-ruining issues to encounter. If you can mitigate the chances of that happening to you by downloading a free app, you should highly consider doing so.

Also, not to even mention the fact that storing porn on your phone is even riskier, should your device, or access to your device, fall into the wrong hands. Whether it’s a family member, a friend, or a complete stranger that has bad intentions, this is never an ideal situation.

If you do choose to watch or keep porn on your device we highly recommend using trust-worthy safety apps, such as a VPN to help minimize exposure to harmful fraudulent activities.

At the end of the day, we wouldn’t recommend keeping porn on your phone or table. It’s extremely risky for many reasons and getting caught with the content on your device is not worth it.
